Kirsten's Mike & Juliet Show Experience
Encounter
March 12th, 2009
As you know, Lilian appeared on the "Mike and Juliet Morning Show" yesterday morning. Up until she stepped onto the stage it was unknown to fans what her exact reason for being there was. Was she there to promote an upcoming album? There for Wrestlemania? The answer of course, was none of the above. Instead, Lilian, along with author Guy Blews, was featured in a segment called "Battle of the Sexes". Now this wasn't the ordinary, physical version, instead this segment tested their wits and got their views on modern day situations. Throughout the segment Lilian and Guy offered their opinions and represented their genders in questions about the Chris Brown/Rihanna saga which related to whether or not women get off easier than men do in regards to acts of violence/abuse as well as women's liberation.
While it was a little strange to see Lilian doing a segment that didn't involve her connection to the worlds of music and professional wrestling, it was really nice getting to see her be herself. She handled herself with class and did a wonderful job of voicing her point of views. The latter an accomplishment in it's self seeing as Mr. Blews was a man of many words.
As the segment came to an end, Mike plugged Wrestlemania. That, aside from her introduction, was the only wrestling reference.
Having attended the show, a few friends and I were able to catch Lilian for a few minutes once the taping was done. She was very approachable, not just to us, but to anyone who approached her and was more than happy to sign autographs and/or pose for pictures.
All in all, it was a really great experience."
