Kristens Fan Encounter With Lilian

November 5th, 2005 Bookends - Ridgewood, NJ Divas Uncovered Book Signing.

Okay, well I'll skip the boring details about how we got lost on the way and everything, (oh AND on the way back, LOL)

Anyway, we got there at around 2:30 and got in line, there was about 20 or so people ahead of us. So while we were in line there were these guys behind me talking about how they were shocked girls were there, especially since it was a Diva signing. (At this point my uncle looked at me and started laughing cuz he always says the samething to me) but the one guy was like "I think most of them are here to see Lilian Garcia, she really seems to appeal to the teen girls"

So then about 3:30 the girls arrived and we were let inside the book store and lead downstairs for where the signing would take place. We waited for like 10 minutes then the girls came down the steps to a round of applause. So the line started moving and there were these two girls around 10 years old and they were like jumping up and down out of excitement after they met them, they were SO cute!

*Funniest part of the whole day* This guy (he used to help run the fanclub I think but I forget his name) went up and Lil was like "Hey stranger, it's great to see you again!" then she turned to Victoria and was like "He's been to just about all of my concerts" and Victoria was like "So you're the guy who threw his boxers up on stage? I heard about you!" and Lilian started cracking up and laid her head on the table in embarrassment then went "And it wasn't boxers...it was boxer briefs!" Then the guy helping out with the signing was like "I didn't know boxers could fly" and everyone started laughing again.

A few minutes later I walk up with Brianna (my little sister) and they both loved her from the start, saying how cute she was and all. Brianna gave them her photos she wanted signed and they started to ask her name but Brianna wasn't talking just yet. So Brianna gave Lilian the little Jets teddy bear we had for her and Lil went "Aww, is that for me?"... "Yea" "Aww thank you! Come here and give me a hug" Brianna went around and gave them both a hug and posed for her picture with them. They asked her name again and she finally told them as Lilian started to autograph her photo and was like "That's a gorgeous name, very fitting"

Then I gave Victoria my letter for her and she was like "Is that from you?" *Nods* "Thank you!" Then I handed Lilian a print out of Lilian Garcia Net and explained to her what it was and Lilian gave me a hug. Victoria mentioned having seen the site before but then asked if it was a .org site, so I'm not to sure if she has or hasn't. (During this time Lilian was making the bear dance for Brianna) Anywho I went and posed for my picture with them. Then Lilian asked Brianna to get another picture since the bear wasn't in the first one, but of course Brianna didn't want to go alone so we all got another picture together, bear included!

The girls thanked us and we all said our good-byes.
