cold pizza transcript

Show opens with a shot of WWE Originals cover and Lilian's music playing in the backround.

Thea Andrews: The song you just heard was "You Just Don't Know Me At All" by WWE Ring Anouncer Lilian Garcia. The track's on the new CD, WWE Originals. Joining us now, Lilian Garcia.

Lilian Garcia: Hi

TA: Who knew all these tough guys were such great artists.

LG: I know

TA: Who came up with the idea?

LG: Actually it was Kevin Dunn and Jim Johnston. They came up to me back in June to talk about it and I thought it was such a great idea.

TA: It's so much fun, who sings on this?

LG: The Dudley Boyz to Chris Jericho, Stone Cold Steve Austin does a little something there, Kurt Angle, myself then of course Trish Stratus, Lita I mean there's a bunch of them. I think there's like 12 of us.

TA: Ok so they tried to get you all involved. Now tell me the truth, who could really sing and who had a little trouble?

LG: *Laughs* I'm not giving up anything.

TA: You sounded great by the way

LG: Thank you, I really appreciate it. I think everybody did a really good job, you know there's just some people I mean that you know, like Kurt Angle, he did more of a kinda rap, talking thing because he's not known for singing. But um, I think everybody did a really good job on putting this together and it's really fun to listen to.

TA: Was it fun to see them out of their element? Usually they're in the ring being tough guys, were they sorta stumbling a little bit with this?

LG: Yea, you know I think everybody was so into it and everybody, you know we're so competitve that everybody took it as a competition to out do eachother, so when they went in there, they went in there so serious and so I'm gonna nail this, it's gonna be a number one hit *Laughs* You know that kinda thing, it's funny.

TA: Ready to rock, this CD is rocking. I love the titles of them. I love, "We Lie, We Cheat, We Steal", Steve Austin has one called, "Where's the Beer" no what is it? "Drink Your Beer" n "Where's Your Beer"

LG: *Laughs* He's all about beer.

TA: Did they write these themselves?

LG: No, a lot of those were written by Jim Johnston, and then he actually had a co-writer. Then with mine, I got to write it along with two of the writers so the three of us wrote mine.

TA: Okay so everybody did something they thought described them. But, they didn't write it themselves?

LG: Right

TA: Now you actually sing the Anthem at many events including WWE Events. Is there a lot of pressure doing that?

LG: It's been really great, I mean I started out with the WWE and from there I've gotten to do NBA games, a Chicago Cubs game and then what was really fun was the Jet's game this year and the Miami Dolphins. It was very exhillerating, with all these people in the stands. I mean the Jet's game, I stepped out in the middle and there was like 85,000 people there it was the biggest crowd I ever done it for. What an adrenaline rush.

TA: Your song which is fantastic, do you think you'll get a chance to do that at a game perhaps?

LG: You never know

TA: Or in the ring?

LG: Yea maybe in the ring, maybe we could do it live on a show somehow. You never know with this company.

TA: Have you heard anything about people singing?

LG: Not yet, I don't think. But, these people you know, the producers and everything constantly have things rolling as to what they're gonna do so we'll see.

TA: On top of being on this album, you have your own coming out.

LG: Yea ah, I'm working right now in LA with Richard Post and he's better known for , like he did Vanhallen, he's also very known for doing televisions themes. Like um he did 'Hill Street Blues' he does 'Law & Order' now and 'NYPD Blue' n 'Dragnet' but he also does a lot of music, music sp I've got together with him and it's been really great working with him. We're hoping to have it released maybe late summer.

TA: Any idea as to what it's gonna be called?

LG: No not yet because I wanna finish all the tracks then put everything together and really think of a name that'll really justify it and ...

TA: Put it all together?

LG: Yea right, exactly

TA: Well since that's not out yet I'd like to have you autograph this (WWE Originals) to Jay if that's alright.

LG: To Jay? *Laughs* Ok

TA: There's sharpies over there for you to use when we're done.

LG: We'll do that

TA: The album WWE Originals is out now *Smiles*
